need help removing side panel screws "HELP " !!!

ok i finally recieved my 08 hyper 1100s that ive been longing for, its very slightly used, the previous owner put the carbon side fairings on. im putting the originals back on and went to remove the screws on top by the gas cap and on the sides, well i think he put loctite on them so they just spin the nut thats inserted into the plastic tank, has anyone had this problem of them spinning, what to do ????IM FLUSTERED and i need some expertise help here. thanks !!!!

You might have to pull the insert out of the tank with the screw attached and then remove.
Epoxy the insert back in the tank.

oh I see

Drill it out and replace the screw. Get a drill bit just a touch bigger than the shaft of the screw. Drill until it releases. Then deal with what you have.

I had the same thing happen on the big on my Hyper. Drilling it out is the only way to get the panel off. Good luck getting the insert out. I start looking for a used tank.

That is what I would do too, the bolts are bloody cheesy shite so in this case that is good.

Leave as much screw sticking out so you can get some descent grip on it, a little bit of heat will also help release any loctite or in this case tank plastic... no need to give you a warning about your work surface and underneath!!

yea i thought about heating up, the tank is empty and ill let it breath awhile so no fumes, but i think i must drill them out with a easy out and try to pull it out along with the insert, then re-epoxy the insert, uggggg it just couldnt be easy to swap out those panels
