Best front tire to pair with Michelin Road2 rear?
Needing the best greater than 3000 mile tire setup for mostly commuting in Mississippi (hot/humid/rain and winter above freezing temps). I like to play in the curves on the back roads during the weekends some. I was thinking a Michelin Road2 for the rear but needed to know which front to pair it with(Pilot Power/Pilot Power 2ct/Power Pure). I did not know which profile and compound would go the best with it. Other setups will be taken in consideration also if mentioned. Thanks in advance for your time.

Both Doon and I run PP front with Road 2ct rear, great combo, same now on my SMR.

Thanks Monstaman....So that is a regular Pilot Power not a 2ct one. Just curious if you tried a 2ct on the front or why you chose the regular one over it? Also I assume the standard tire size was still correct for both and it was the regular compound on the road2 in the rear not the "B" compound they call for a loaded touring bike. Thanks again.... 2,000 miles on the corsa3's gets old quick commuting.

Had PP 2ct front once and didn't feel it gave any better traction for our level of riding.
We still have no chicky strips and they are fine for track and road.
The PP 2ct shouldered out very quickly but our roads have very coarse chip so std PP for the front and the Road 2ct rear.
These are them on the SMR, note the rear is the Road 2ct not the road 2, Doon runs the same combo.

I'm riding a Road 2 on the rear and I just installed a Power 2 CT on the front.
I'm very pleased so far, but only did 600km so far with this setup.

Doons is lasting, he has more on his at 5000 than mine has at 3200 km.
12500 would be a dream, come true, I will be lucky to see 5000 km or 3125 mile out of mine.

I have about three buds that use the 2CT and road 2CT combo and they love it. One rides a 600, one on a ZX10, and the other on a ZX14. They are getting about the same wear interval front and rear with that combo.
I've done similar Bridgestone and Metzeler combos with good successon the Hyper. I even got through track days on the bridgestone combo on the hyper and a day on the metzeler combo on my old TLR.
