520 or 525?
Looks like I'm going to need a new sprocket chain kit, so I need some feedback on whether to go with a lightweight 520 chain (with a good chain) set-up or stick with the stock 525 one.
I'm going to try a 15-43 combo, and I would like to here from members here that have or tried the 520 stuff.
I'm leaning towards the 525 because of my 106HP MOD II , but that can change based on your feedback. TIA Aloha Alex

I ran 520 on my 1098 with the Driven carrier & aluminum sprocket. Also run a 520 on the Zx10. No probs.
Will it wear out faster? Probably.

Alex, with your bad luck and hi po engine, you better stick with the 525 and steel toothed sprockets like the supersprox. I like the RK XW chain for high strength and less friction.

520 for choices.
525 for strength and readily available parts at the dealership.
I went to 520 on mine (before I sold it) and didn't notice a difference except that I could now buy a chain at any Cycle Gear.
Stay stock...

I believe in the strength of a super high quality 520... but then again if your staying o-ring it doesn't matter to enough... When I went from o-ring to non o-ring on the SXV the wheel spun so freely it was amazing.
