Who runs a steering damper on thier Hyper, and if so what brand/kind?
Hello All,
Looking to purchase a steering damper for my 09 Hyper S and I was wondering what if any damper the Hyper community favors. I've used Scotts on all my Hondas in the past with good success but Scotts wants to replace part of the triple. Seems a bit excessive to me. Let me know what you run and if you like it...Pictures would be helpful too!
Thanks

Scotts under handlebar set-up is one of the best, they have a kit for the Hyper, no triple clamp replacement. Aloha Alex

Its not the triple but the handlebar riser they replace. I am leaning towards the Scotts from experience anyway..thanks 08hyper

Scott's... for $600. The only tricky part in install was removing the security ring from the stock ignition ring. Supplied is a black aluminum one to replace the plastic oem. It works great for Mi.

After many bikes with dampers of various types (mainly dirt). I found the scotts is the only brand that doesn't end up with leaky seals
A good damper reveals it's worth by seemingly being unobtrusive and expendable until you hop on another bike without one.

I agree that the Scott's is a great setup. I have the Ohlins one (slider type) and it does the job for me. I got it because I didn't want the handlebar rise that the Scotts type gives me.

I love my Scott's under the bar setup. I have had great luck for many years with them. Especially great setup on this bike-made me love the bike even more.
