the s model part you are referring to is not a lowering link ... it is the ride height adjustment rod. the base model has a solid cast rod, no adjustment possible.
the s model ride height adjustment rod will not provide any lowering past what the base model fixed height rod provides.
am not sure if anyone makes a true lowering link kit for the hyper/multistrada ... have done searches and not found anything yet.
also keep in mind, that if you do lower the rear suspension on your hyper, you will also need to lower the front (raise the fork legs in the triple clamps), and then figure out how much you need to alter the side stand to compensate for the lowered height of the frame/bike.
