I LOVE my Sargent seat. I just did a one day from DC to Indy (600 miles) in 12 hours. The return trip was another 1200 miles in 3 days. My seat made it an enjoyable ride.
I have the regular Sargent Seat. I am 5'11' 185 - I wear 34W-32L jeans. If I stretch I can flat foot on my 08 Hyper. It's not an issue for me.

There is also a good thread that covers the seat in the forum.
I am also interested in a replacement seat. It would be good to get further follow up on this. Certain riders with no ass found the Sargent seat not great. I wonder if the low version changed that opinion. The stock seat feel like I'm sitting on a tootsie roll. I'm more comfortable on a pancake firm seat.
Some of the riders at 6 feet tall were even at odds with the Sargent seat being taller than stock. I'm toe-ing it now and don't want to have to slide off to one side every stop.

I have the Ducati gel seat too, or comfort seat, or the low seat, or whatever the heck you want to call it. I had it from day one, the stock seat is brand new still in the box. Anyways, 2 years later, it still isn't all that comfortable. The gel should have broken in by now. If this is supposed to be more comfortable than the stock seat, I can't even imagine how bad the stock seat is. In terms of look, the comfort seat is a vast improvement over the cheap Dualsport looking stock seat.
Anyways, the three choices right now are the Corbin, Sargent, & Renazco. The Corbin is so hediously mfugly it is not even a consideration for me. Yes I'm shallow. As for the Sargent, I'm not too thrilled with the fact that it raises the seat height. However, I suppose if you are over 6-feet(which I am not) it doesn't matter. The Renazco may be a good alternative if you don't mind losing the seat for a little while or if you have an extra seat.

Several people have been successful modifying their stock seat by shaving the foam. There are a couple vendors doing the shaving and recovering too. Check out those threads.
Out!

The thing is, unlike my KLX or the 900SS, I cannot figure out exactly why the Hyper seat is uncomfortable. For example the KLX seat is way too narrow and only supports half my ass. The 900SS seat is shaped like a semi circle at the top that digs into you.

This is not a commercial thread. You have been warned. It ain't the KTM board either so quit bashing the Hyper seat.
