EVO SP Termi 2-1....lean!!!!

had it back to the dealer once already....this thing pops on decel like nothing i've ever owned before. i'm told they won't be able to fix it and it's the nature of the 2-1 system/ECU etc. it's an animal, though.

anyone else experience this?

I assume you are running the DP race ECU as well which means you have an open loop system now. I suggest waiting for Dynajet to complete development on the PC5 for the EVO which should be nearly done. It will allow for the extra bit of fine tuning that may be required.

There's no open loop with the Siemens electronic systems.
DP Siemens ECU retains the 2 sensors, and keep you in a close loop.

Pretty much all EVO and EVO SP pop on decel, with or without DP electronics.

yep...stock exhaust....5 stalls between dealer and home, and that was after the first service and having complained of the same issue.....there will be a fix, but we'll all need to be patient as they already have their work cut out for them with the new Multistrada.

regards,

With these stalling issues, Ducati would be in a power of shit if someone was badly hurt or lost their life because of it.
I would be giving my dealer that in writing if they cant fix it.

I was thinking the same thing. Before I put my Termi on my bike it stalled all the time. One time I was pulling out of a parking lot onto a busy road there was a car coming but I had just enough time to go and the bitch stalled!! I thumbed the starter as fast as possible and was able to move. The guy in the car had to jam on the breaks and made all kind of hand gestures at me. Another time I was pulling out of my driveway making a right and it stalled mid-turn I put my foot out to keep it up put failed. Frame sliders did their job, scratched the right mirror though. After that I installed the Termi and the bike runs great. I think they do it on purpose so you buy their aftermarket exhaust. Bastids

i've got no stalling issues at all....starts fine, idles fine and the power/torque increase with the system is definitely noticeable. but it pops like crazy (much more than with the stock exhaust) and sometimes sounds like a bloody firecracker!!!! blue-ish tinge on the horizontal cylinder as well....

Same thing here, runs like a champ but a lot of popping on decel with the occasional shot gun blast. I think it's kind of funny, I've scared the shit out of a couple people (I drive through a couple of rough areas).

They are in the process of remapping my ECU, my dealer overnight it Friday I should have it back at the end of the week installed. I'm not sure who is doing it but Ducati is even going to warranty the work for me. I have the full term 2 in 1, with bigger tank. My bike runs good it just back fires like crazy, hopefully this will solve the issue. I have been waiting for two months.

I am really torn about the termi 2-1. I talked to the service dept at the local duc shop and the service manager told me that they had installed a termi 2-1 on a new hyper and it ran worse after the install and said they are still trying to get the FI mapping sorted out
