"new" HyPeR grazing with the herd...
Picked up my Hyper this morning. This will be the sibling to my StreetFighter, but more importantly it will be ridden probably more as it will be the daily driver which was the job of my S2R1k.
I look forward to lots of seat time and have been lurking about for a bit of time... it just sorta fell into place that it happened now instead of next year as my plan has gone to hell in a hand basket.
It's the base 08 with just over 5k on it. It was EXTREMELY well taken care of. Enclosed is a picture of it sleeping next to it's brass balled brother. I'm sure what it lacks in HP, it will surely make up in its' easily excitable nature. It is after all a HyPeR.

I hear you. I am waiting for my '08 to arrive! It's being shipped from Maine to Texas. I've been lurking for awhile too. Finally this week it should arrive.
Then I will belong! This is my first Ducati as over the years the horror stories put me off ownership. I have a Guzzi which has been nothing but great since the day I bought it. Love that bike!
Good luck with your new partner.

Congrats! I'd love to have a pair like that.
Too bad Ducati doesn't make a broom.

I sort of went about it backasswards... I should have gotten the Hyper first then the SF. I feel I can learn a lot more on the Hyper and then take that to the SF, which is why I bought the Hyper... to learn more so I can ride the SF more confidently.
Lots of wisdom here on the dot ms board, and that I am thankful for. When my cash flow gets caught up again, I'll make the needed changes to the bike. I was looking to purchase next year, but planetary alignment said differently.
While I have not even ridden a Hyper, I know it will be a fun journey both riding and modifying.
I'll first off modify a broom I have and make it a Corse model. I need more room! and a maid! and a ______.

Hey Roy,
Great hearing from you... Albany GA is a bit of a commute to New York!
I have to roll the 47 out to take some pics... I bought it like 5 years ago, just as I started restoring my 59 apache. Well the 59 still aint done and I'm wanting more space... Basically the 47 came from South Dakota. It's all original, surface rust and all. I think it has the original engine, so a force oil conversion or a newer 62 straight six would suit it. The wiring is original esbestos/ceramic terminals. I'll PM you a link when I get the pics done. I think it cost about $500 to transport a dead vehicle unless someone wants to pick it up. I can't recall what I paid, but it was under 5k. Midwest trucks are good stock. A favorite site to check out is http://www.hotrodgarage.net lots of good old things to drool over.

I've had my Hyper for a week and 300 miles so far and like Bill, bought it to do the lions' share of the commuting. Working out great!

Congrats on the purchase! I have been using the Hyper to commute so much in the last year, I am in the process of getting a pannier rack made to install some pelican cases. Have fun and ride safe.
