Clutch Pressure Plate issue....Help!
Ok, I just got done installing a new Black clutch pressure plate on my bike. Looks great, but I have a huge issue now. When I start the bike there is a rattling sound coming from the new plate and when I put the bike in gear it shuts off. It will not start if the bike is in gear either. What did I do wrong? There must be something simple I am missing. Any advice?

The spring screws must all be torqued the same amount. If one is torqued harder than the rest, it will make it run like You said.

A torque wrench. I would look up the torque spec, but I am in the midst of a move--To CaliFORNEE-and Mi manual is buried.

when you installed the new pressure plate, did you align the mark on the pressure plate (sometimes a triangle, or a dot) properly? if not, the pressure plate will not sit correctly, and will cause problems as you have stated.

I could not find a mark anywhere on the new pressure plate. I looked both on the inside and outside. Does that mean I need to try it in all 6 positions to see which one works?

if the pressure plate is for a standard ducati dry clutch (NOT a slipper), it will have a mark stamped on it to indicate the proper installation position.
some aftermarket pressure plates have the mark on the inner surface of the part and some have the mark on the inside of the spring through hole, not on the outside, as in the photo i attached.
look closely ... i am sure it will have a mark on it somewhere.

I have looked everywhere, even had my wife look and nothing! I have tried it in 3 different positions and still not working....
I am emailing the manufacturer to seek their advice too. Here is a pic of the inside of the plate.
