Rear Sprocket Size?

Just got my 2008 Hypermotard. The previous owner did a host of mods including to change the rear sprocket size (need to count the teeth tonight to get the exact size). I wanted to see what size rear sprockets everyone here was running? Is there a common standard among the forum? I live in San Francisco and do a lot of city riding. The current sprocket makes the front tire lift up when you give it a good twist, so wanted to see if that was the sprocket or just the fun or riding this bad boy?

Thanks!

I don't know the size of the rear sprocket, but your avatar rules!

Stock gearing is 15 / 42
I beleive Ducati's used to have 14T for the front, but factory changed that to 15T to meet CO emission restriction.

Most people just go back to 14T. This modification (unless you go for a 520 pitch) does not requiere any changes on the chain.
At equivalent speed, a 14T will be about 300 rpm higher than a 15T bike.
This will make your front wheel go up even quicker.

Some people prefer doing the modification on the rear sprocket, adding 2 or 3 tooth.
Dont know about 44T at the rear, but I'm quite sure a 45T requieres more links on the chain.

I'm not aware of any Hyper rider going for more teeth at the front or less at the back. This mean you would give up on front wheel flying up to have a better top speed, which I dont think is the point of this bike.

15/45, +2 more links(new chain). I still stay in first for awhile, so 46 would still not be too low for me.

And... the tire is supposed to lift from the planet when you twist your wrist.
