Anyone having trouble wheeling by popping the clutch on the Hyper EVO
I cant seem to figure it out. I can bring it up on 1st and 2nd out of pure acceleration but I cant seem to pop the clutch on 2nd and bring it up. Anyone else experience the same thing?
When I pop the clutch all the bike does is brooom and shoots forward. I have managed to pop it a couple of times, but for the most part I cant. What I have noticed when I have managed to do it, is that it seems to depend a lot on how much you pull the clutch in before releasing it. This happens to me @ 2k, 2.5K, 3k and 3.5k rpms.
Its not that I dont know how to pop it up, I did it all the time on my previous bike, in fact I really dont feel comfortable doing power wheelies, I much rather pop it up

Did your previous bike have a Hydraulic or Cable Clutch?

Im not sure if you read my initial post, but I do wheelie. Im not a pro by all means but I can defiantly bring it on my previous bikes and sometimes keep it up other times ride it out, NO PROBLEM. Best wheelie I ever did was about 2 blocks on my R1, but I will admit that it was out of pure luck or was feeling special that day. Easiest bike to wheelie for me was the 1000rr which was where I learned.
Reason why I specified its an EVO because I havent heard of the 08/09 model doing the same thing as the EVO (broom and take off) and all the threads I have read about wheelies are with the 08/09 model, so I was thinking it has something to do with the EVO.
At first I thought it was some issue with my bike, but a friend of mine bought the EVO too and he wheelies better then I do and has the same problem.
Higher RPM???? I would think that being that the bike red lines at around 7K and I tried at 3.5K, any higher the bike whould red line the instant it comes up unless I 11 or 12 o'clock and use the rear break, thats pro stuff if you ask me and if that what it takes to wheelie this thing with the clutch then I will honor what you say about me having to learn how to wheelie....

These 2 valve motors are really just starting to pull hard at 4k, at least that is the case with my 1000..
So you may just be missing the meat of the powerband..
