Value of a used 796
Whats up guys,
I have a buddy that I work with that has been bugging the hell out of me to sell him my bike. It only 1700 miles on it with upgraded Zeta bars and handguard. I was kinda thinking that I could sell him my 2010 796 and pick-up a used S. I was thinking somewhere in the neighborhood of $8500. Do you guys think this is good price to get for it, or am I being to ambitious???

With friends like you, who needs enemies
Honestly, do you think 9k or above is possible?

I think $8,500 is fair. I've seen some on cycle trader going for $8,900 so you figure they left room to haggle. Good Luck lot's of 1100 08's out there.

Good to know
Did you pay $9100 including the usual $700-$800 prep fee, or was the $9100 all in?

Just remember bro, trying to make money off of a friend isnt always good bussiness. Dont get me wrong and think I am saying give it to him for free, but it isnt like you are selling this to someone that you wont see again. One thing I have always been told when buying or selling.
Something is only worth what you are willing to buy/sell it for. If you give him a price and you both think it is a good deal then its a great deal.

Cool,
Thats similar to what I paid, thanks for sharing. I figure anywhere in the 8K range seems like a very reasonable price for him.
Thanks for all the info.
