Flashing Fuel Indicator
I just went for a blast to look at my "potential" new bike and on the way back the fuel light started to flash. I was low on fuel but the low fuel light is steady and triggers the mileage clock to start. I lost my horn and turn indicators at the same time. Probably a fuse but I'm interested to know if anyone has run into to this problem. Tom
BTW, the bike runs great!

Nope, started flashing. But I did remedy the situation, maybe not fixed but everything is back in working order. It was a fuse! How I missed it is beyond me. Now what caused the fuse to blow is still unclear. I did go through the wiring and the pod on the left side handle bar (source for most of the bad indications, horn, high-beam flash and turn signals) to check for wear or abrasion on any wire. Everything looks fine, time will tell.
The flashing fuel indicated might be an alert for a blown fuse but nobody can confirm that, and how it's otherwise connected to the lights/horn are unclear.

i posted this a while back when mine did the same thing. it is a fault indication that the fuel sender is bad or the wiring has an open. mine is the fuel sensor open. good luck i have been waiting for months and have run out of gas twice.

Fuses only blow for one reason. An over load on the circuit. There's a SLIGHT chance the was a fluke, but I would never believe it personally. Don't think it would be very hard to open up most of the circuits and check continuity between the open circuit and ground (frame)

Can I assume this means we are on track to be on track at Monticello?

I'm doing some QA as per UTrider's remark. I did some wire relocation and so far so good but no specific "ah ha" findings. Monticello is on!
