staying in open loop

ive got the fatduc on my 08 hyper1100. my check engine light comes on alot and its the fatduc. i dont want to spend 500 on a dp ecu and still need a power commander so does diconnecting the o2 sensor keep it in open loop. then id set the power commander and remove the engine light which would always be on.

I had a fatduc on my Hyper for several months and never had the engine check light come on, maybe you have other problems

Check your error codes.

From page 17 in the owner's manual:

Pressing button (1, fig. 8) in position A “s“ gives access to
the MENU and the following functions are displayed one
after another:
Error (only if active)
RPM
BATT
LAP (OFF or ON)
LAP MEM
Clock setup
code (only if active

Button 1 is the toggle up/down button on the left switchgear, pos. A is up, so toggle up to retrieve the active error codes (this only works when the bike is stopped)
