Metal Tech Clutch Cover

Saw this clutch cover on this monster and loved the design of it. I haven't seen them on any Hyper and knew I had to go for it.

It was a tossup between the metal tech and the STM cover found on SC-Projects Pramac Hyper.

Went with the metal tech because I thought it was unique and loved how it looked on that monster. You can see the product on METALTECH RACINGS WEBSITE here

I was going to order directly from Italy but then found out Boulder Motorsports in CO is the exclusive MetalTech US distributer. Gave them a call and the order shipped out within an hour of hanging up. Pleasure to deal with and the cover arrived in 3 business days!

Next up is carbon SC-Project exhaust that is still being made in Italy, Rizoma pressure plate + ducshop stacks. The pile of parts is growing and I just got this bike in the beginning of summer! Those who have done pressure plates, do you always do stainless springs? What were your stock springs like, do they get rusty and corroded quickly? My bike no has just about 3,000 miles. Purchased with 1,500 very short time ago!

Both are very nice covers, but I think you made the right choice (IMHO).
I'm not a fan of lots of logos/lettering/writing on individual parts, so I think what you chose is "cleaner" (IMHO).
It looks a lot like the Speedymoto "flow" cover, pictured.

As for springs, now that the clutch is open to the elements, stainless springs help prevent rust/corrosion. EVR (and others) make SS springs specifically for Ducati, so they will be the correct length/spring rate. And while you're at it, EVR (and others) also make SS spring cap bolts to replace the OEM bolts, recommended for the same reasons.

a spyder retainer is also an option. I got mine from http://www.desmotimes.com Using the spyder retainer gives you the option of removing 2 clutch springs all together for an easier pull. I've had mine this way for a few thousand hard miles with no slippage on acceleration. Down shifts are much smoother with a slight slipper action.

Thanks, yea slingshot does make some nice billet parts. Have been looking for coated springs.

they list paulimoto as their supplier for the retainer. I don't know which one I have, but it is very nicely made.
