Protune for 796
Just got a reply on my enquiry from http://www.protune.it/ita/
Seems they have a kit for 796, now since dynojet is taking their time with the pc-v (14-008) I'm thinking I might try them.
However after talking to some people it seems ignition could be in need of a few degrees of adjusting as well not sure if the protune kit takes care of that.
Remaps they have available for the 796 are: Stage 02, 05 and 06
Do we have any 796 owners already using their ecu kit?
How about 1100's, anyone tried it?

All depends on cost. Even if Dynojet are slow to put out the PC, I won't buy a Protune map at almost the same price as a PC. It's gonna have to be a lot cheaper.

Someone please set me straight if Im wrong.....
I understand power commander 0 map does nothing for fuel mix below 4K RPM as the Lambda sensors negate any changes that would be made.
Auto tune cannot be used on 796 as it needs wide band sensors and the 796 sensors are narrow band, not to mention you cant just disconnect them from the Siemens ECU.

Time to wake up this beast of a thread again (almost spring here )
Soo... Anyone tried Protune/Rexxer (Same product basically) on 796 yet?
I'm still a bit divided, not sure if I should get Protune or Rexxer and disable O2's or not.
Disabling the O2's/unlocking means it's fully usable with PC-V, and if you wish Autotuner, or am I wrong?
Any other tuning tips?
Planning to get rid of the low rpm stuttering and backfiring upon letting go of the throttle.

take a look at Bazazz fi units, they come with a o2 eliminator plug that disables the sensor meaning it can be tuned from 0% throttle. The bazazz can also be tuned like a power commander unit

Why cant you just fit some 02 eliminators and fit a power commander anyway.
Run a zero map with the PC with an auto tune module setting your own a/f ratios.

you can
but the bazazz at $460 including the fi unit, 02 plug and self tune a/f module is another option for the OP
