Just "blacked" my forks!
well,the kids are off school so to save my sanity i spent an hour in the garage with some black vinyl.
whaddya think? i think i'll keep it. black subframe coming next week.

Looks great. Wish I would have thought of that on my 2008 before buying 2010 EVO SP to get black forks

Can you explain on how you used black vinyl? Is that vinyl wrap or paint?

It's vinyl wrap. You just wrap it around the fork tubes. It's easy but it's not at the same time.
And I wish I would have thought of that too. Looks great!!!!

sorry,yes as he said its from a sheet of vinyl. i had a roll leftover so i cut 4 pieces to length and carefully wrapped them around the tube making sure to push out any airbubbles along the way.
a hairdryer may help but a murrieta garage in mid july had the same affect!

Looks great from the picture... what thickness is it, did you put the seam to the inside back of the fork leg? does it follow the forks differences well without creating flaps... it looks like you got it so flat...
