Most people find that tightening the various power leads takes care of the issue.
If you have a new battery, it's best to make sure it's fully charged before installing it. Do you have a tender to keep it topped up when not riding?
But to answer your original question, I've thought about getting that cabling upgrade kit as well. It may not be a glaring issue on these bikes, but a gauge increase and better quality connectors is not a bad idea. I've picked up a lightweight battery and thought about the wiring upgrade just for a little insurance against colder days.
