Now that's an open clutch!
I was thinking about doing something like post 28 on page 3 but this definitely goes farther.

It is a super easy mod to do. and it works gr8!!!
I normally don't ride with anything on my feet that have laces. The round spring retainer is a big help as far as safety and strength (in case of a tip over)
the toes of my boot do on occasion brush the springs. No worries tho it does nothing.

Mine's not real exciting but it has the cool sound and seems to run a little cooler.
