cored and shortend exhaust?

I need more sound I was wondering if it was possible to shorten the cans while coring them? Like 2 inches so they're more flush with the tail

Search about coring. I opted for LV cat elminator and gave alot of sound, better idling, cooler engine temps and looks better. Just my $0.02.

If you cut directly behind the pass through you could get away with some less than perfect butt welds, being hidden under the tail. If you got the skills you could cut the near the end.
Search for cored exhaust threads for plenty of pictures of the internals so you're not cutting entirely blind.

Worst case you could pick up another set on ebay to hack up. I have bought and modified 3 sets for less than $35 each shipped.

I agree with Sick. Cut away. I was actually considering cutting my SC pipe about 1/3 away, just to f with looks and sound.
