What have you bought for your Hyper?
I have just got a Hyper into the workshop to use for a little while and i was wondering what the most popular upgrades are for it, you know what do you change straight away and whats worth buying.
Every bike has good and bad products made for it, so waht are the good ones from the guys in the know - you lot !!
Let me know its interesting and i would like to find some websites i can browse to see what i should getting.
For instance, having never owned a Ducati are open clutch covers a good idea or just a bit crazy, doesnt it damage the clutch to have it open to grit and road debris?

Don't take a picture of a Hyper and then put a BMW in the foreground, shame on you!

I've been making my hyper more sport-touring friendly. So I guess I'll start:
Mods:
Ca Cycleworks 6.5gal tank
Sargent Seat
Fabbri Windscreen
Speedymoto Frame Sliders
Garmin Zumo 550
Some CF from Shift-tech
Next year I hope to upgrade the exhaust

Dry clutches get HOT and also generate clutch dust (just check out the inside of your closed OEM cover!). An open clutch cover helps both issues and (almost as important) let's the Ducati clutch rattle out for the world to hear (and constantly ask what's wrong with your bike . . .). The added bling of a nice open cover, aftermarket pressure plate/springs/caps doesn't hurt either. So not only is it not crazy, it's beneficial, and grit and road grime are minimal concern for a rapidly spinning open clutch ; -)
As for your more general question about favorite mods, you need only look at the thread titles to see what is popular. Basically, the common/popular/mainstream mods (IMHO) are (in addition to open clutch):
1) exhaust products (slip-ons, full systems, collector kits, ECU, etc.);
2) air box mods (open cover, pods, stacks, etc.);
3) aftermarket seat;
4) Ca. Cycleworks gas tank(s) - plural now ;- )
5) bars, mirrors, levers;
6) gearing - 14t front sprocket or larger rear sprocket;
7) aesthetic (CF, billet, custom paint/decal, levers, etc.).
joeR6 makes a good point, intended purpose and function should dictate. While joeR6 is touring, others are tracking and need aftermarket rearsets for added ground clearance, frame sliders, engine mods for better performance, etc. Just take a look at some of the droolworthy build threads, showcasing amazing vision/time/$$$.
As for products, most sites let you search by model, so I spend hours going to sites and literally reviewing every Hypermotard product offered (usually broken down by category). Believe it or not, it becomes a fairly limited universe when you really start looking, but I think there are great aftermarket products/support for such a relatively new model. See all the board sponsors (some give discounts), and google is your friend.
Whatever you do, enjoy it, and make it your own!

Mi Favourite Mods have been Ducshop Velocity Stacks, STM Slipper Clutch, and Race Cams/ECU/Full Exhaust System. Steering Damper is good, too.
