Mirror(s)

So I really liked the idea of the mirrors on my 796, bar-end and foldable. Just what I wanted. Well, these really suck. I only use the left mirror so I don't care so much about the right one. I don't even care much about how wide they make the bike when the lane splitting urges kick in. But getting them to stick in one position for longer than 3 minutes is damn near impossible. So what are you guys doing with these mirrors to make them work for you? I don't really feel like going to another setup if it's gonna take much longer than 15 minutes to put in place, if so I'll just live with this. Thought I would just see if anyone has come up with something smart in regards to making the stock mirrors more useable.

i got rid of mine, then went with bar-end mirrors, then DP mirrors, and now with the bar-end mirrors in-board. so far i like the last set up.

Hey Quack - it's a bit hard to see what's going on with the mirrors in that pic - you got any other pics focusing on the mirrors? Which bar-ends are they?

I like this idea too for the most part - the problem I see is going to be finding space on the bars to mount them, the 796 bars are a lot busier from the get-go.

Ditch the handguards then. Stock solution to a 'clean' way in mounting the front signals and mirrors; IMO they're overkill. Its not a dirtbike. Barend turn signals exist, among many other options. I just found Motowheels' site. A lot of good idears there.
