It was $8995 Buy It Now price, plus $495 prep/doc fee, etc. BS, for $9490 OTD. So I'm assuming it's the same ($7995 + $495).
And I'm in Chicago, but the Fla. deal was too good to pass up (I called all local shops, no one could touch the price). Even with shipping, a good deal. BTW, shout out to No. Cal, went to law school in Davis ;- )

I'm sure that you can talk them down. In this economy, that bike may just sit on the lot longer than they like. What the worse that they would say, no?!? Or ask for a DP seat, termi exhaust, or a larger tank!

It also depends on what you intend to do with the bike. If you just want a clean Hyper and you don't plan on selling it for a couple years the best bang for the buck is the 08 Hypers with mods... there are a ton of them in the 8k range. Any Hyper won't hold it value that well so the newer the year really isn't worth paying for unless you want the latest 2010 model with the lighter motor, but really no more performance. I always think you should go with the S model due to the better front brakes and lighter Marchesinis. The mark up from buying from a Ducati shop isn't ever really worth it. Low miles private party with documented service is where it is at, much better deal usually.
