2 months, 2 days...
...and I'm back in the saddle! Got out for my first ride since the accident back on May 2nd. It felt damned good to be back on a bike again, even better to be able to ride the Hyper since I just got it back last week. My shoulder was my biggest concern, and while it's a little tired and achy and a few bumps jarred it pretty well, overall it felt fairly strong and stable.
While the bike was being repaired at Nichols, who did an awesome job BTW, I added the Zeta bar kit from Wheeling Cycle and a SpeedyMoto pressure plate, springs and 10 spoke cover (to match the Marchesinis; yeah, I'm a poser now ). Hit the link below for swome pics of the ride and the new bling.

Went for another ride on Sunday. About 110 miles up in the hills with lunch at Alice's and a blast up and down 84 for good measure. My shoulder is a bit stiff and sore today but it was a lot of fun blasting around the mountain again!

Awesome! Welcome back.
How are those mirrors working out for you? Good view of your arms, or really useful?

most excellent news dave ... glad you and the bike are on the road again (no willie tunes, please ).
btw, my right shoulder has now been diagnosed as having adhesive capsulitis ... just like my left shoulder had two years ago. my orthopedic surgeon advised it will take 2 more months for the freezing to stop, then he can perform the operation to fix it.
i hate getting old, and if i knew i was going to live this long, i would have taken much better care of myself
anyway, dave ... ride to santana row bike night next monday, to show off your new hypertard bling-bling.
ciao,
johnc

My wrists and elbows look awesome in them. If you lift your arm up you can see behind you and seeing the lanes to the side isn't too bad, but directly behind and immediate sides is not good. they also vibrate a bit more than I would have thought; they are fairly lightweight so maybe that's expected. I'll mess around with them a bit more and if I don't like them I'll probably swap out for the Aprilia Tuono mirrors.

That sucks, John! Let me know if I can help out; now that I can ride again I can come run your bikes around to keep them happy.
My shoulder is a bit stiffer today than I would have expected after the longer ride yesterday. I do have 2 PT sessions this week and I'm working it offline from them as well, so I should be up for commuting by next Monday. Getting to Duc night is next on my 2 wheeled goal list.
