Nice Ducshop visit
I had a nice visit with the crew over at Ducshop today. I was there mainly to get new tires mounted up, but naturally did some shopping as well. Unfortunately, they were out of the stacks kits, or I would've brought one home.
I did have a nice chat with Mark about the head porting options, the ohlins fork kits and the microtec. With the pc-v + autotune being a $600-ish setup, I'm thinking just forgo that and get the right tuning platform from the get go. Being able to sell a couple of dp ecus along the way will just be gravy. (My bike "only" has the full 2-1 kit for now.)
So my plans are to first get the handling and braking sorted and do top-end and tuning work for the time being. I figure why not let the stock motor actually get a little tired before opening it up.

I bought the stack kit and 25mm cartridge kit from Mark, great to deal with and great products. Ducshop was one of the first if not the first to have the Ohlins 25mm cartridges. Your lucky to be able to visit, I'd hangout there if it were local.

I'm going to be in Atlanta for a shoot on Tuesday and was hoping I'd be able to stop by for a visit but I don't know if that will be possible. I was actually going to fly in early on Monday but they're closed.

I agree, the Ducshop is fantastic, they are the only shop that will ever touch the hyper. Wendy and Mark are great, and its always fun to visit the shop. They will show you around and give you a tour. They dont mind you watching the work being done on the bike.
Wendy is always out front with a hello, and Mark is the "guy in the back" working his magic like the wizard of oz. They are just a bunch of down to earth riders that share our passion for riding and the brand. I cant wait for the stacks and suspension work this winter.

Maybe I'll stop by and take some pics. They're about 8 miles from my house.

partied with Wendy tonight in the atl... a local rider's birthday party. Both Mark and Wendy are exceptional people (and their staff is great too), it's an honor to have them in atlanta.
