Just bought a Hyper 796*.. Many Questions!
Hey Guys,
I just purchased a "Hypermotard 796" and I couldnt be more pumped.. but I have some questions..
1. Of all the shops out there, where can I find reasonably priced and up to date official Ducati parts and accessories? Id like to upgrade to the Comfort seat, add the Ducati wheel lock...
2. I live in South Florida Miami, im 6'1 and 185lbs... from what I understand, this bike has an adjustable suspension. Does anyone know if there is a Bike shop in the area that is familiar with tuning?...and does anyone have any suggestions of how the suspension should be set up for my weight and size?..or should I just leave the settings at stock?
Thanks,
Im sure theyll be more to come, and im quite happy to be an offical Ducati member now...

Is the 786 the new de-stroked model?

I know commonwealth ducati has good online prices check screen name kukok I think they are a site sponsor on here. As far as suspension settings go... where did you buy the bike? did you buy it new because if you did then that shop should set the suspension up to your rider weight. I am picking up my new hyper evo sp in the morning @ ducati of milwaukee and they are setting up the suspension for my fat azz

The forks are non-adjustable. The rear has rebound and preload adjustability, so it's pretty far from fully adjustable.

How about getting used to the bike , as it is for a while anyways...
I think your weight is close to normal and I have heard that the factory sets it up to be an all around good settings ....
Sure if you are doing track there is some adjusting to do but I think that it should be OK for all around riding...
See how it handles as is , and under your varied conditions...
Have fun and ride safe...

I "only sort of" agree with this as even if you adjusted stuff now, once the suspension broke it, you would be doing it all over again.
Once you start "getting used to the bike" you need to start getting the suspension dialed in to your needs as best as you can for optimum safety and enjoyment.
