Aussie Hyper Rebuild
Hi guys, its been a while since i have posted here or even done anything to the bike.
Atm its is an 08 1100 Hyper S, Open Carbon Clutch cover, Internals of the clutch have all been painted by me, full Zard Penta system, FatDuc, Zeta hand guards with turn signals and new bars and shaved seat.
There was a build up thread on here once apon a time, ut it seems that we have lost a lot of threads.
Now after seeing hyperstrada77's build thread i am keen to get back into mine, and seeing as though i love the look of his, i plan on doing something very similar.
So i have stripped her down to this and have started playing with the front fender/headlight.

Fatduc
Hi MY45
I note in your post you have a fatduc fitted & am keen to hear if it has improved the throttle / fuelling on the hyper? I have considered purchasing one but have only read reports from users in the US. What is your opinion of the device and did you purchase yours over the net from the US manufacturer or locally here in Oz?
regards Nick

Nice work so far, thanks for the mention
Are you planning on lowering the headlight a bit, looks a bit high up without the full beak at the moment?
Keep us posted, cheers!!

I like that beak trimmed up the way you did it. Can't wait to see it done.
I see the Hyper build off between hyperstrada77, MY45, sakurama, C2D, and Mangler. We'll set up a vote, maybe get a TV show.
Out!

Hey Nick, i had major troubles with my throttle being hard to cotrol. low speed corners were a joke, the throttle would be on and off all the time. Installed the fatduc and it improved it alot (it may be running a little rich atm but im not too worried). Then i found a thread on loose throttle cables giving the same problem so i tightened mine right up and all my problems were gone
It was purchased from FatDuc over th net and was super easy to install and adjust once you fiddled with it abit.

Yeah the head light does look too high atm, i will have to do something with it. I quite like the resize/sharpening of the beak, i wasnt too sure how it would look on the bike.

Had another litle play tonght.
Front headlight has been moved down about 100mm i would guess. I did this by just flipping the standard lower mount and removing the top tab. Then the lower tabs were trimmed a little.
Tabs....
Flipped mount...
Light sitting in lower mount...
Lowered with trimmed beak...
I am thinking that it is still abit high, but i will leave it like that for now and see what it looks like after the tank is done.
Also had a little play with seat and subframe heights with an old DR650 seat i had sitting in the shed. I dont plan on using this seat as the front angle is too steep, but i dont plan on going to a real thin moto x seat either as i still plan to do some long rides on it. Ill nead a seat that i can sit on for 2-3+hrs.
