796 Mileage range

I've searched around but did not find a thread on just the 796 fuel range.

I road 131 miles on one tank and the reserve light still didn't come on. When I filled her back up it only took 2.1 gallons. Is my 796 really getting 65 MPG?!

Yes, Yes you are. I have taken my 796 for an all day two-up ride and still got 135 miles when the light came on and took 2.5 gal of gas. I think you are in the right neighborhood. I also have 450 miles on mine and it is not even broke in yet.

I'll break the 1000 mile mark on her this week. If we're getting 135 miles before the light comes on now when the Medium size tank is made we should be in the 250+ range. Maybe less when I uncork her. Awesome.

Just a heads up when your service wrench shows up on the dash for the 600 miler they may have problems taking it off. Fay myers couldn't take mine off. Fin Duc told me I should have them try going into it as a 696 monster .I'm gonna see if I can have them try that next time I'm in that area.

You gets your from Erico, because fay still had the other hyper on the floor last friday when I was there.

I have 8xx miles and am getting anywhere from 40 to 48 mpg. If it can actually get 65 mpg then mind=blown
