Anybody in So Cal for dirt tommrow?
Its my regular day off tomrrow. Doing maintenance on the SXV so it time to start on the dirt again... Anyone feel like going to Gorman tommorow ... nothing hard, just shake some cobwebs out, start getting in shape. Alex or Doug?? Anyone ?

Even if I owned a dirt bike today would be a no go. Maybe I can rent one somewhere and go with you next time.

All are welcome... I'll post when I go next again.
Been 9 months and a shoulder surgery and damn it was hard getting the feel back and trusting myself and the bike. I was tentative and afraid at anything approaching fast... It will take a couple more rides for sure. Big skill set and confidence required to go fast in the dirt... But it was awesome to be back in the saddle.
Mike if you could rent a bike that would be great... maybe Alex will lend you his
You will have your SG10s, or you could borrow my A-stars and I have an extra Helmet and riding gear.

I left my YZ250F in Indiana because I couldn't fit it in the moving truck, but I guess I should have tried harder. I didn't know anyone was riding dirt either... Maybe I'll ship it out or just sell and buy another. Need to snag another SMR first though.

I had a Yz250f too... sold 2 year ago after big get off and wife saying 4 bikes in garage is too much and no more jumps. Now I ride a WR450 which keeps me grounded.
There are quite a few MX tracks around here all about 1 hour to 1.5 hours away. Where I went riding today is not an MX track but it's great riding with some great trails that are super whooped out with nice elevation changes, a bit more gnarly than the groomed MX tracks you find around here, but no jumps. Perfect for getting in good shape. Great views too. The I-5 MX track is in the same park (Hungary Valley) and is a fun smooth flowing track with safe tables. Since selling the YZ I do about 85% of my riding in the park and occasionally hit the track with the WR which sort of a pig on an MX track.
Bromike said you moved out here... Welcome to California!

I don't do much MX... mostly single track woods riding. Makes sense to have a YZ huh!? Table tops are alright, but I've never been a big jumper for sure!

If you get your bike or another out here, you will really dig it. Gorman has it all... tight single track, wide fire roads, great views from up high on the mountains, some woods... snow in the winter. Great all around place but you do need to go on weekdays or it can get crowded with knuckle heads going the wrong way on one way trails and stuff...
