I bit the $200 bullet and bought the Memjet despite the negative comments of some who seem to Know more than I do about fuel injection. I just couldnt shake the positive findings I read of guts who tried it.
Nay sayers point to Lambdas and say they will overide any changes made.
Memjet says colder air causes CPU to use fatter trim settings and Lamdas do not override.
After trying for myself I have to Agree with Memjet.
This is
not a high performance Mod (my opinion)
Trim tables are probably minor but do make a noticable difference at low RPMs
Steady throttle at low spead low RPM was impossible stock. A Ride on the bucking bronco experience. Now I can negotiate the 4 blocks of dirt road to my house in 1st gear as low as 10MPH with relative smoothness. 2-3K RPM in second and third gear is much improved. Before 4K steady running(open loop) was where she smoothed out.
Eventually someone will give us better access to A/F adjustments.
For now,,,Glad I did it.
