Sil moto italia carbon slip on
Questions for the people that have this slip on...
I currently have the Leo Vince Cat Eliminator and the Fatduc 02 manipulator and the stock ECU.
I assume this slipon will bolt up to the Leo Vince...?
Will I have to get the race ECU or can I run it with the 02 manipulator?
Also does it come with new side covers to replace the large stock ones that no longer fit?
Thanks!

I did a quick google search, and all the shops that sell the silmoto say that it eliminates the cat, so I must assume that you will need to remove your Leo Vince to install the silmoto.

Hyperr,
slightly off topic, but if you get this slip-on and need to remove your LV cat eliminator I might have a deal for you. I've got a never installed DP ECU I'd be willing to trade, plus a little $$ for your LV cat eliminator pipe. Let me know if you get the pipe and are interested, I'm in RI about 5 miles from the CT border.

Are you talking about the full exhaust? I was talking about the slip on. I wouldn't think that the slip on would come with a cat eliminator as well would it?

That sounds like an offer that might benefit both of us but that being said, I don't think the slip on comes with its own cat eliminator. I think Crank was referring to the full exhaust...

Nobody knows if I can use the slipon with the stock ECU and fatduc? Remember I do still have the Leo Vince cat eliminator as well.

Are you talking abou tthis system?
Sil-Moto CF Single Oval High Slip-On HM1100
We have one in stock. If you contact sales@motowheels.com they can confirm what comes with it. It should work with the Leo Vince mid pipe and stock ECU--but it would probably run better with a ProTune ECU Remap Kit.

Thanks for the info. I guess I will get one and see how it goes with the stock ECU and the fatduc. I will probably add a race ECU or your remap kit.
What is the upside/downside to your remap kit vs race ECU?
Can the stock ECU just be flashed to work with the slipon?

The Protune is a tool that comes preloaded with a performance map that you use to reflash the stock ECU. One of the map choices is a DP map but there are several variations available.
The advantage with the ProTune is you can change the map if you change your bike and need a different one. You can also restore it to the original map for warranty issues. If you return your bike back to stock you can sell the Protune with the performance map.

Definitely sounds like a cool alternative to the race ECU!
What is the procedure for changing the map level? For example if I buy it with mapped for a cat elim/slip on, then decide to mod the intake, how do I change the mapping?
