How many hours of labor should it take to replace the Hyper's springs?
Just trying to get a ballpark idea of what to expect if I decide to pay a shop to install the fork and shock springs I have on order... Any input would be appreciated. I'm trying to weigh my options: buy the tools (and odds and ends) needed to hold the bike up in the air to pull the suspension off, or just fork over the cash to have it done by a trained pro...

have a trained suspension shop do the install and then set up the suspension correctly to your weight/riding style. worth every penny.

Not sure on fork springs, $300 maybe? I was quoted $100 labor by the dealer to swap out the spring on my Sport Classic Ohlins shock.

Thanks. That's about what I was thinking... I've read through the steps in the manual, and it seems like a shop would be able to knock it out in 3-4 hours.

+1... I would call Jim Cambora of Raceworx 817-512-4393 since you kinda in the area anyway. He does alot of work for the cmra guys. Probably the best suspension guy around

Just had that work done, plus additional dyno stuff. I'd say the $400 estimate is in the ballpark. Good luck.

Paid an awesome local mech 3 hours of labor to swap the springs. Well worth it! No more bottoming or crazy diving on hard stops, and it handles great!
