Cat Delete Install

Have the LV delete pipes... Ready to go.

Do I need any high heat paste, or have others just bolted up and rolled?

I have a small leak where the delete pipe meets up with the rest of the LV system. I'd get some high temp RTV sealant.

I just bolted it up and no leaks at all.

The only downside is that the exhaust does stink.

Bikes and cars that have cats, when you remove them, they smell far worse than bikes and cars that didn't come with cats to begin with.

Yep that is what all the fuss is about the euro111 emmissions standard....
What ECU you got ?
Is the flapper valve still there?
I was amazed at the stock set up inside the dealers shop when he fired the bike up and you could hardly smell the exhaust..
I've heard that if you are at some place where a SMOG ALERT has been issued , that a Euro111 emmissions vehicle will have cleaner exhaust than the air being burned....
The system does what it is suppossed to do...
I wonder if the dealer tweaks the bikes from the factory to run better when new....And Possibly some dealers just leave them at the factory settings...The reason some bikes run shitty compared to others???
I've have asked the question at the dealer and they are sort of secretive about their answer so I didn't dig deeper.
You might possibly have more work to do on your bike to get to run "Properly"
Maybe some adjustments by someone who KNOWS what they are doing...
GOOD MECHANICS deserved to get paid well...

When I need a good mechanic, I'll see him.

This was EASY

For something like this, it doesn't hurt to ask a simple q or two...

I would rather do that than not use the forum for good feedback (and the occasional preaching that comes along with it).

Yep , Good that it went easy for you ...
I guess what I was trying to point out is , does some fuel/air adjustments type tweaks , need to be preformed to get the bike to run Optimum...
I'm sure different Good Mechanics will have their own settings that will differ slightly from each other but still be in the same ball park ...( we are spliting hairs here)

I don't know if you still have the stock ECU or a preformace one ...

The (MY) Ducati cat eliminator and mid pipe needed some coaxing to fit up to the Termi SLIPONS that were fitted to my hyper from the dealer at day one before I picked it up ..
You would think that a Termi /Ducati Exhaust would fit exactly ...Not so it took some work to get it to fit right....
Sounds like the LVs are a better fit...

The euro 111 emissions do a good job at reducing the pollutants . Why don't they run those standards on all vehicles ? when they do I'll think about putting my bike back to stock...
I don't want to be thought of as a preacher it was Sat. nite not quite Sunday...As always do as you like and have some fun...

This forum is how I learned most of the stuff ...Like Ducati stuff may not fit quite as well as other stuff...

MAYBE ,just Maybe , you MIGHT need some adjustments ...The nuts and bolt thing is really doable by Most people , and questions about anything are a good learning tool , even if it is seems like a simple question , great to get others opinions and then sort it all out for yourself...
Have a Ball , playing with your bike ....
If Alex says bolt and roll , I would go with that....
