electrical help

ok a bit of the story behind the bike . up until i installed the CAcycleworks 6.5 gal tank i havent had a problem so i know my issue is my own fault . it all started when i was riding on the highway and my check engine light came on and the bike died - i scrolled threw the dash menu and it said pump error so i checked the fuses and it was a fuse - so i changed it .....

as i was riding home ( with a friend following ) the bike hut off at a light ...right before it shut off the dash board went nuts ( flickkered on and off ) and bike died...

i opened the seat and saw that the starter solenoid had a loose nut on the connector so i tightened them both and checked the fuse to the solenoid ( 30A)
..everything checks out .... i go to start the bike and it started but as i put it in gear to take off the dash flickers and bike dies... i unplugged the battery for 1-2 mins ( positive and neg) with hopes to reset the ecu.

drove it home and it was fine the whole way ...

my question: i am supposed to be taking a 200 mile trip from NYC t lake george with a few guys on friday . what else can i do to prepare this bike for this trip ? anything else i should look at?
im bringing all the tools to take the bike apart and im bringing extra fuses.
no ducti dealer can see me for 2 weeks so i need to self diagnose this

im sure there are things i am missing but if i think of anything ill edit the thread ....thanks in advance guys

i just had some weird electrical going on the other day. i rode to work and when i got off i turned the key to off and the bike shut off but the dash stayed on. key out dash was still on..... bike wouldn't turn on when i turned it to on so i unhooked the batt and check all the wiring as i too have the 6.4 tank. couldn't find anything so i hooked the batt back up and now its fine. i think i might have had a loose ground too as when it was still hooked up if i moved the batt around it would flicker the dash.

anyway i might be out in lake george on friday. look for a red hyper
