galfer wave rotors ...
ciao a tutti -
a question for those who have/have had galfer full floating wave rotors:
when the heck do the plastic spacers/washers on each side of the buttons break off, allowing the rotors to really float?
before these galfers, i had a set of axis ductile iron rotors on my mh900e ... and those suckers REALLY floated. just rolling the bike produced a tambourine sound from the rotors, and they REALLY provided instant pad contact.
ciao a presto,
johnc

Get it up to around 135mph then grab a handful of front brake, then you'll be full floating.

I'm not understanding you question, I have the Galfers on now, my second pair, first pair warped, got them warrantied, now the second pair is starting to warp, these will be going back to Galfer as well. Aloha Alex

ciao alex -
aside from the warping issues you are having ... the question i have raised is:
do the stainless steel rotors on the galfers you have installed float from side-to-side on the aluminum carriers? the buttons that hold the rotors to the carriers are supposed to allow side-to-side movement, so that the rotors float between the pads.

yes they "float" much like a stock ones, a stiff float with side to side movement. Aloha Alex
