remus system
Hi all , I have fitted a full remus system to hyper about 2 months ago, been riding it for awhile , I took off the valve actuation unit and replaced it with a moto creations dongle to eliminate the warning light on the display warning light screen , it got rid of that . Then I also fitted an o2 manipulator to get a richer mixture by tricking the standard ecu.
Not happy with this , finally going to fit a nemesis system and dyno,d by the shop I bought it from.
I would like some feed back on others that have gone the nemesis route.
Thats the short version of events.
questions questions.
too many.

I have the Nemesis on my bike - it works superbly (Mine is 999R though - not HYM, but we've sold them to lots of HYM riders who have been happy with them!).

Right now the only one I can think about who maybe had a Nemesis ECU on his Hyper is Guido from Shift-Tech.
I dont know if he was running a Nemesis or a Microtec, but he pulled 130hp at the wheel on the dyno, so he must had one of those fancy ECU.
My only concern with Nemesis is to find someone skilled enough to tune it properly. Well at least in my area.

That's the problem - there isn't a lot of tuning centers. The software is easy to use so anyone who knows how to tune will be able to figure it out, but there really aren't that many people who actually know how to tune... just use the dynojet auto tune feature
The included maps are pretty good, but won't be perfect as they need to be tweaked for each bike if you want perfection. A really good start though that will cut down on tuning costs greatly as a lot of the work has been done.

So, if I understand correctly, a Nemesis + preloaded map is just a -good- starting point. But is it good enough ? ridable ?
What are the options next ?
Fine tunning on a dyno with a skilled tunner ? If only apes are living in my area, is the wide-band and auto-tune a good option ?

thanks fellas , I am assured the tunner knows what he is doing as race guys use him also.
The dyno is not cheap but I want it to run the best it can.
cheers

Isn't one of the best ways to go with the Microtech, Nemisis or the Dynojet V, the on bike autotune option? I thought it optimized the fuel/air mixture and created a map based actual riding conditions. You then save that map and use it or load one of the predefined maps. If you make any changes you just autotune again and if you want hp/tq numbers just take to anyone with a dyno so you can baseline and verify changes.

Technical stuff indeed, I am no expert on this and have been realying on word of mouth . hence post .Apparently after my bike gets dyno,d the ecu will be locked to stop you from messing with it, this is also a warrenty thing.
The ducati dealer is the agent for nemisis so I do have a warrenty with that install.
