Buyer beware ... someone selling a "warrantied" HM69 tank

All of our tanks are sold at MSRP with fully intact serial numbers. To ensure that your tank has full warranty support, be sure to verify the serial number. We can help you establish who bought the tank from us (which dealer or a private party).

Our procedures for handling warrantied tanks has been handled such that the process is the easiest for the Hypermotard owner, so there is a chance that someone is trying to sell a fuel tank we have replaced due to damage or defect.

Best regards,
Chris

I thought you have them send in a "chunk" of the tank being warrantied? Are you experiencing some fishy business?

hyperdookie, thanks for writing. Yes, that is our stated policy. However, only a few people are that exacting. Some people send us a chunk of the tank, others, nothing really. We now have someone on staff specifically for handling sticky situations -- who can call and help someone want to return a chunk of the tank. I'm too gruff for that :/ and Candice is busy keeping orders flowing.

Thanks,
Chris

I find it kinda' upsetting yet not surprising that there are people out there willing to take advantage of your hard work and no hassle customer service policies. I find myself wanting to purchase your product just because of your honesty and your communications on this site. Unfortunately, I find the stock tank to be "just right" for my needs.Keep up the good work.
