battlax BT-003RS ?
I was just looking around for a new rear tire since my factory BT 014 has had it's day. While searching I went to the Bridgestone site because I wanted to match the front. I noticed they have a new BT-003RS. They claim it is for street and track. According to them it is a little more track than the BT-016. Has anyone tried these yet?

Best tire I've used thus far. Performs as claimed ... IMHO.

A really good street/track tire, low priced also, downside? wears down too fast, especially with my MOD II, Aloha Alex

No, not yet, the front 003 is still good, so I'll get another 003 rear, then after its gone I'll install both front & rear Q2 at the same time. Aloha Alex

That is good to know. So I will either go with the 016 for the rear since I still have the 014 on the front. Or just try the 003 and get a 003 front when needed.

The 014 front is scary, get rid of it.

Scary how? Been on the track with it twice now and it held up pretty well.

I had it on my racebike, which was set up correctly, and I had no issues.
I switched it onto a CBR1000RR that still required more fettling to get the suspension close and WHEN the front washed out, it never gave me ANY warning. The traction felt the same from corner entry, through the corner, until the bike lowsided at corner exit.
It didn't just GO AWAY!! like a Michelin does but it seemed to sneak away without letting me know it was giving up.
I'm sticking with Pirellis from now on. They practically sent you an email before they do anything wierd.....
