Front forks leaked the juice out...

Both forks have been leaking oil for about a month now, the dealer says this is a common problem on non-S Hypers. They are getting the seals to fix them under warranty ( for over a month now ), I guess by kayak, directly from Ducati factory.
The forks have leaked so much that I did not see any oil in the oil level indicator next to the rear brake lever, so I got fork oil ( took three quarts ) and filled the reservoir to the high mark.

Monsterfan, I was stationed in VB, Va from 1987 to 1993, in NAS Oceana, and did a few Med Cruises onboard the T.R. ( CVN-71 ), are you in the NAVY ?

That's the wrong reservoir that one is for the exhaust flapper valve. You need to pull the plastics lift the tank and fill up the void space where the air filter sits.

Out!

someone will be laughing at the end of this thread. it will either be us at what mess the OP has made of his bike-engine-etc. or it will be OP who will have succeeded in fomenting some hilariously confused responses.

either way... pass the popcorn.

Maybe he's just playing the Gixxer.com game but instead of putting in some NOS, he's filling fork tube reservoirs....

Sad part is, I was hoping it was a legit post as I just noticed that my forks were leaking with only 1300 miles on the bike. I hate my dealer, but maybe it's time for a visit.
