Motorcycle/UTV Lift
Does anyone have any experience with these lifts? They appear to be very nice and have a lot of accessories. I see that Yamaha is a distributor and recommends them for dealer use. I think with shipping and some jacks I would be around $2K, so I ain't crazy about the price.
MC625R HEAVY DUTY AIR LIFT
How about other options?
Thanks.

Nice but that seems expensive. There should be some good off brands with similar construction for much less. I don't have personal experience with bike lifts but my Rotary car/jeep lift in the garage is great. I usually just throw a loading ramp on its arms to lift the bike if needed. Seems like eagle and some other brands made some. Best of luck with your search.

Looks pretty much the same as several other lift tables. You probably could save a few bucks by not ordering the heavy duty model, the standard has 1000 lbs capacity.

I've got this one from Harbor freight and it surprised the hell out of me when it was delivered, I was expecting a flimsy POS but when I put it together is really built tough, sturdy, I also purchased the optional side wings.

I have a Kawasaki Teryx 750 UTV that has a full cage, rear seat, heavy tires/wheels and it probably weighs in around 1600-1700 lbs. That is why I have to go heavy duty. Most of the standard model lifts clock in around 800-1200 lbs. If you look at the KL it has dual hydraulics, much beefier support arms, an additional frame around the bottome perimeter, etc. Handy, Eagle and some others beef theirs up, but that is the only one I found with that lower frame, which I think is key when you load up a large UTV.
I thought about buying one of the cheaper models and beefing it up and adding the lower frame, but by the time you do the hydraulics and buy the metal, and finish the cutting/welding/painting it probably doesn't make sense.
There are a lot of people on here that state that the Harbor Freight lifts are working pretty well for them. I have looked at the basic model at the store. They don't look too bad for the money and use by the weekend mechanic. I would probably consider it if they had an 1800+ lb model.
I would love to have the Rotary or similar lift. My garage is pretty big, but it doesn't have the head room needed to work on my truck up on that lift. I am considering buying a shop or a lot where I can build a shop and then I will get one.

I cut the template out of the sheet rock in the ceiling for the rotary posts to go through then let the crossover piece that connects the two posts come across the top of my rafters in the attic. I can still work under my Rubicon with 6" lift and 36's without any trouble-but I am only 5'5". You always can roll around under it on a rolling stool. My teryx cage is not as tall as my jeep so it should work ok unless you have real low ceiling in your garage. Just another idea-may be easier to find two post lift for cheap instead of the extra heavy duty bike lift.

I've only got 10' ceilings and I've got all the garage door hardware hanging above it too. I've got a Duramax truck with a 6" lift on 35s that sits about 6'11" on the back of the cab. That doesn't allow much room to work underneath, so it probably wouldn't be worth it. I think when I get a lift it is going to be a 4 post to support that truck and then some which clocks in around 7500 lbs.
I think I am going to call and get some quotes on the KL setup.

This site has pricing for various lifts...for autos or bikes.

That Derek Weaver site is pretty nice and they have some good products and prices. I am assuming this jack is designed to go under motorcycles with lower tube frames like on a Harley. What do you think?

I am going to see if I can find a local distributor for KL so I can avoid some shipping charges and maybe get a package deal on some accessories.
