Release info - Leo Vince CAT elim for 796HM ??
Does anyone out there have a release date for the LV offering? With the Arrow kit being out and on a few members bikes my patience is wearing out.
Secondary question - Has any 796 owners opened up their airbox/KN filter? This mod and a CAT elimination should be ok still on the new electronics ?
Thank you.

If you don't want to wait that long we'll have the ZARD collectors for the 796 next week. This will be full stainless collectors from the engine back to the slip-on and removes the cat and exhaust valve.

Same as the 1100 @ $525... this with an under seat slip-on makes a full system

Is there anything available for fuel mgmt for the 796 yet, besides a DP ECU?

Thanks for the quick comments .... I emailed LV back in March or April and got a similar (In a few week) response from Italy so we just do Not know. I am trying to save a few $$ and LV usually brings that capability.
As for the Zards there is not any exhaust valve to deal with ... Zard does beautiful work ... again just looking for a cheaper solution ...
I am hanging on and Riding my 796 in the meantime.

It's a bummer, but I guess it's the price you pay for always having to have the latest of everything So Anthony, what would you recommend for a 796 with the ZARD collectors and stock slip-ons? The DP ECU? Nothing? Or is it just not that great an idea right now until something like the PC V is released? For most other FI twins I've owned the general recommendation has been "do what you want with the exhaust pretty much, but until you make changes to the breather you don't really HAVE to modify fuel mgmt". Does this hold true here as well?

I honestly can't give you an intelligent answer to this yet as I've had zero experience with the fuel injection on the 796 HYM. I don't know if it is lean or rich form the factory - or both! Without knowing that and without knowing how the DP ECU affects the air/fuel mixture it is really hard to say what is appropriate.
The DP ECU does keep the closed loop portion exactly the same as OEM so you won't have any gain/loss there no matter what you do as the air/fuel target is the same. Until someone has a fueling device that can disable the closed loop portion or go full closed loop that is programmable using a wide band O2 sensor I probably wouldn't waste too much money on an ECU.
ZARD developed the collectors with the stock ECU and airbox and they said the air/fuel was fine (I don't have a chart though).
So how is that for an unclear answer
