Question laguna Seca questions

I'm going with a budddy to moto gp this year and I was wondering if the ducati island is worth it. we want to rent 2 ducatis from san fransicco and try to ride the track. what time do they do the track day on friday? I don't know if I can make it on time if San francisco is 2 hours from the track. it says on the ducati island email that is in the morning but no especific time. Should I just get the one day pass for the sunday race? the main reason that I want to get the ducati island pass is because you ride the track.

ducati island @ laguna is a great experience ... have been working on the island as a volunteer since the wsb days in the early 2000's.

if you are going, make sure to get a ducati island parking pass, as if you don't get to park on the island, the SCRAMP folks make you park way out in EBFE.

you can get a parade lap ticket even if you don't do the ducati island experience. check out the ticket page for the race @:
http://www.mazdaraceway.com/pages/tix-USGP_2010

from the ticket page:
Parade Lap - Motorcycle ONLY - MotoGP (includes motorcyle parking pass)
Parade Lap - Saturday Only. Proof of Saturday Admission Ticket required for Parade Lap to be mailed or order will be held at will call. To participate in Parade Lap proof of insurance, registration and valid drivers license at event when waiver is signed. One escorted lap around track; includes a Green parking pass valid all 3 days for 1 Motorcycle. (Parade Lap ticket NOT VALID WITHOUT Green parking pass)

don't remember ... DNA should post up the schedule for the island, including the parade lap time/date ... once they have the schedule finalized.

Not to tread jack but I'm riding to the WSBK races this weekend in Salt Lake City and I was wondering if anyone can get into the island or whats the deal. My dad went 2 years ago and he said you had to prove you were a Ducati owner to get in to certain parts, is this the case?

Also, I understand you wanting to do the parade lap especially on laguna but to be honest its not too great, you're on there with a ton of people and they only let you go like 20 mph. Laguna is the best track in America though so I'd probably do it just to do it, just wanted to let you know how it is.

there will not be a ducati island @ miller for WSB races.

DNA will have a "ducati lifestyle" area this year @ miller. basically it's the same as ducati island (parking, gear check) but DNA will not be serving food to ducati owners as they have in the past. this is due to budget cutbacks. what with the economy as it is, this is still a great thing for ducati owners, so plan to head over if you attend miller WSB races.

to be safe, bring your ducati key and registration and/or insurance card, to prove you are a ducati owner.

Sounds good, thanks again. I've got a feeling you're going to be answering a lot of my questions
