First real ride
I'm not too good with posting pictures so I'll just give you an idea of what I look like ...
I took the hyper out today for about 165 miles and I f**king loved every second of it. My one complaint is the seat but that will be taken care of soon enough. I've never owned a Duc before and the thing that blows me away is how smooth it is, not just the engine but shifting as well. The way you can flick it around inspires almost too much confidence, I ran wide on a tight right-hander which brought me back down to earth and reminded me I was on a new bike . I gotta say, after a day and a half, I never want a different bike...

awesome ... and welcome to being a ducatisti.
agreed ... the stock seat is absolute crap. fwiw, terblanche designed the bike to have the DP race seat ... when the hypertard went into production, the production engineers changed the seat to the POC stock item. also, the motor was supposed to come with the race cams as stock ... again, production engineers changed that.
once you get that sorted out, the fun will begin with modifications (buying the duc is the cheap part )

Thanks. Yeah I've already been looking through all the sites, looks like I'll be selling a kidney. I'll be getting a DP race seat here soon, I've actually had a hard time finding them, any suggestion on a good web site?

I just took a strait shot up 93 to Boulder and ate with a buddy, came back and went up 285 to pine then through Deer Creek. I used to get bored on my sportbikes on strait highways (or whats considered a strait highway here) but not on this baby

I agree with the OP regarding the tranny and the seat. I am very surprised at how smooth the tranny is on the Hyper. It's not the buttery smooth snick snick type of my CBR but smooth nonetheless. Or maybe a positive and precise would be a more accurate description. It really is a pleasure to shift.
As for the seat, I took delivery of it with the comfort seat so I cannot comment on the stock seat but I can tell you this: The racer replica seat on the CBR is far more comfortable than the "comfort" seat on the Hyper.

Positive and precise, exactly.
I basically had a piece of wood with a cover on in on my RC-51 and I could ride that thing all day, that is, until I lost all feeling in my arms and legs from the riding position
