group buy - aluminum subframe from italy ...

ciao a tutti -

just got the details on a group buy offer from the good people @ motowheels, on their italian manufactured aluminum subframe for the hypermotard.

retail pricing on this part is US$699.00 plus shipping.
the group purchase pricing is US$475.00 plus shipping.

product description from the motowheels web site:
Italian made aluminum Hypermotard subframes are lighter than the original steel subframes. Manufactured in 7072 alloy, it is strong enough to support a passenger. Available in anodized Silver, Titanium and Red. Imported from Italy. The aluminum subframe weighs 3.1 lb., stock weighs approximately 12 lb.
notes:
  • the manufacturer is only offering the subframes in silver or black now.
  • we need to get a group of twelve (12) minimum, to obtain this discount pricing.

for more product data, please point your browser to:

if you have any questions, or would like to pre-order in the group purchase, feel free to email nick motowheels directly (nick@motowheels.com).

ciao a presto,
johnc

excellent!

let's use the list format to add names/screen names, so we can keep a running count on the group size.

if you are interested in participating, please copy this list (from the most recent posting, so as to grab all the other names/screen names), add your name/screen name, then post the list in a reply to this thread. if we go past 12, just add the next number and your name/screen name.

once we have the 12 minimum participants, nick @ motowheels will send out a PM to each person to advise.

grazie mille,
johnc

asshat!

that's one of the photo motowheels has posted (the other is red, but the manufacturer is not offering the subframe in red now).

i will ask motowheels if they can obtain higher quality photos of both colors now offered.

fwiw, i am going to go with a silver colored subframe.

now, neil, as you have broken my balls, are you going to pre-order one of these subframes? you know fat dudes like you and me need all the weight savings on our bikes we can get.
