I got my hyper a couple of weeks ago and though i love to ride it, im not loving the exhaust note....its got a ZARD slip on from the PO and it just doesn't have that distinctive Ducati BARK that ive had before..it sounds more like a angry Vespa..Yes, the db killers are out and the cat is still in place but, a LeoVince cat bypass is on the way...will this solve the problem or is the Zard TopGun just too whisppy??..Take in to account i live in Lower Manhattan and care nothing about how loud it is...I want obnoxious..any suggestions...besides running headers?

Get Harley with some S&S drag pipes if you want to really be obnoxious and hated by everyone!
Seriously though, other the Arrow thunders which have lovely deep bellow, you need to get rid of the of the cat', and the flapper valve, to open up the flow.
Then, you need to also spend some coin on a new ECU to support the removal of the O2 sensors which will not be required when you fit the new headers.
Maybe a Harley would be cheaper...
I run a full Zard set up, with no flapper valve, and Penta end cans, and my bike is as loud and obnoxious as any other Duc I've owned.
Maybe your not revving it enough
I ran Zard Penta slip ons on normal headers with the cat and I also didn't think it was loud enough for me... but yesterday I got installed the termignoni headers and the sound just got so more throaty and loud that I keep riding my bike with the huge grin under my helmet. Ofcourse its not like the Harley sound but still getting rid of the cat has done a job for me...
I started with just the Zard Top Gun slip ons and although it was an improvement over stock in both performance and sound it wasn't what I was after. I later did the full Zard headers and it really livened up the sound and performance and looks good too. Removing the cat is a big part of the sound, but having that flapper valve in place is still going to restrict some sound. I personally would have bypassed the cat delete in favor of a full system.

What was the set up on your multi?
Harley...no thanks..then id have to buy all the leather chaps and and undergarments to make it work right.
On my multi i was running a full arrow system and open air box...that sounded amazing
the cat is getting tossed and ive already installed the DP ECU..but, how can i get rid of the flapper valve??? I was looking at it and it looks like id have to replace the whole down pipe.. no?
Yeah, the full system gets rid of the flapper and you can take the whole assembly out underneath the seat. If you have the DP ECU it actually disables the flapper, but in my opinion getting it out of the way is important too. The Zard full system is about 5mm larger in diamter than stock.
Anthony from Desmoworks can get you one. He is a forum sponsor and has been great to work with.
Give the Mivv a look. The tone is a deep and angry (particularly with Duc Shop Velocity Stacks) ; plus comes with big boost in performance at no extra cost.
Seeing you already have the top gun cans and the DP ECU, it would be wise to return the LV cat eliminator, and pay an extra $250 or to create the full zard system.
Then the cat and flapper will be history.
Here's a pic and sound clip of my bike with all that done, but I have the penta's. Very deep and throaty and really loud when your riding it.

Thats what i want... Gotta rethink this.
So the zard collector will bolt up to my topgun slipon?...
