Heads up to other Hyper owners...
stay away from motowheels.com
absolutely terrible customer service. They had zero intention of making anything easy with such a simple transaction. I guess as a forum sponsor they figure they can lose a customer or two...I ended up paying for it in the end.

I sent them (MotoWheels) an email asking if they have an ETA on the new 796 Leo Vince slip-ons + cat eliminator. Got an email back saying the 1100 system should be the same and would I like to place an order. Double checked with Leo Vince USA and sure enough, they are different. Not a huge deal maybe, but I think that's kind of crappy service, at least not terribly confidence inspiring.

Well, I agree they should know whether or not the two are the same or not, however to say they are terrible may be a little extreme.. Guesing you didn't order the 796 system if they asked you to place an order, if so then how did you end up paying for it if you haven't ordered anything?
I too have had good experiences with MotoWheels, they went out of their way to get me a set of Beringer master cylinders. Did it take a long time, sure, but I did get them. Sometimes, getting aftermarket parts from Europe can be a royal pain. Meanwhile, take full advantage of your stock exhaust and go ride, probably make you feel better

I'm not the original poster - I just chimed in with my own recent experience.

sorry to read that some are not getting this great customer service ... suggest calling motowheels back, and asking to speak with martin, the owner ... i bet he will listen and make things right.

IMO, Motowheels ROCKS! They've been courteous, professional, helpful, and most of all EASY to deal with. I recommend them every chance I get.
yellow cake,
Maybe they figured you for a trash talking squid and chose to give you the cold shoulder so you'd go away.

I made a mistake; I ordered a fatduc from them thinking I needed it. 15 minutes after I ordered it, I emailed them, left them a voicemail, and then talked to a rep on the phone to cancel the order.
I asked the rep to email me verification that it was canceled, this never happened. I then recieved an email letting me know that UPS has the shipping info. So I forwarded this to their sales email asking why I am getting this if it's, "don't worry, we canceled it!" response.
It shows up Wednesday at my door step. So I spend the 10 bucks to ship it back to motowheels, and ask wtf happened. I get put on hold and passed to a guy I've never talked to. He never gave me actual verification of a refund, or at the very least a, "Hey, we made a mistake, sorry!" And when asked if I'd get refunded on the shipping I paid for to send it back, I was told to pound sand.
it's pretty petty, but what's that quote? "In this economy" I guess means nothing to them.
I'll stick to giving my buisness to a local shop, I should have never veered away from them.

did you call motowheels prior to shipping it back, and they told you to ship it and pay for it? does not sound like what they would do. suggest you call them and ask to speak with martin ... explain to him what happened, and i bet you he refunds your shipping cost.
