Termignoni 2 int 1 install question
First, thank you to johnchypermotard for the PDF install instructions, they've been usefull in helping me understand what I don't have!
I picked up a used 2:1 Term pipe. Based on the instructions, I'm missing a few items and I have questions about what's actually needed:
Two plugs listed on page 2/11 in the PDF instructions:
16. Lambda sensor wiring plug
17. Butterfly valve motor wiring plug
Do the plugs serve any purpose other than to clean up the unused wiring or can I simply close them up with some electrical tape?
Finally, I'm missing a couple of the brackets in the tail for the blinkers, license plate and splash guard...
31. Rear turn indicators support
35. Rear turn indicators support
47. Splash guard
Can these be purchased from Ducati? Where is the best place to find part numbers?
Thanks in advance, John

Got everything put together today... ECU error code comes up on the start, but everything seems to work ok. Pipe sounds great. Today was actually the first chance I've had to ride a Hyper...I've heard lots of good things, but I was REALLY impressed! This bike is going to be a LOT of fun!

I don't have them yet. I'm going to stop by the Ducati shop with a picture from the PDF instructions and ask.
From another post, this apparently is the turn signal bracket part #: 96761308B.

prego john ... am pleased that the PDF helped out.
items #16 & #17 are not absolutely required ... nice to have, but not needed. you can most likely source these plugs from an electronics supply catalog/store. i believe these are off the shelf molex connectors, so you should be able to order the appropriate parts, and seal them up with RTV, to keep moisture/dirt out.
if you are getting ECU error codes, i am going to assume you might be running the stock ECU. if you have the chance to obtain the proper DP racing ECU for the termi 2-1 system, you will really like the performance increase.
btw, since i am assuming in the above statement, i will make another assumption ... i bet there are not too many ducs in flower mound tx, right? when i was running the ducati mh900e owners club, there was an mh900e owner who lived in flower mound ... can't remember his name, but if he is still living there and you see him, please say hello for me.
ciao,
johnc

Johnc, thanks again for the reply. Actually Flower Mound is a suburb in the Dallas Fort Worth Area...so we have a pretty good sized bike population here.
I owned an 851 for many years, but have only had the Hyper for about two weeks.
I learned a little more today...the 'ECU' error that I was seeing, was actually 'EU' and was a result of changing the battery and being in a mode other than USA, so I'm not actually throwing any codes as first thought.
Now that I know where the 'mode' switch is, I'm back on USA!
I do have the Ducati/Termi ECU, and everything seems to be working fine. Good to know about the plugs, some bikes do throw an error code, especially when you unplug the O2 sensor (Yamaha).
Looks like all I need at this point is the bracket to finish putting the tail end together!
Thanks again for the info !!
-John

I stopped by Eurosport in Ft Worth today during lunch. Brought my wheels and some tires to have mounted up.
I also brought the instructions in hopes of finding the appropriate part numbers and getting them on order. Unfortunately, they didn't have the Termi part numbers and said they would have to call Ducati to get them.
