As far as I know, no gasket.
If your concerned about an exhaust leak just stick your hand near the join when bike is idling and you should be able to feel it if there's one there.
Because this is a relatively new fitted exhaust I'd say the clamp just needs tightening up some more.

There is a gasket, more like a crush washer , on each header pipe where the collar meets the head. Two new ones are supplied with the 2-1 kit.During my install I was eventually able to peel the the original off the head with a pick but it was a bitch. When it came off, it looked perfect so I decided to leave the other one on the other head. I wonder if maybe you have two stacked on top of each other.

definitely not at the head. its at the joint going into the muffler. there is no leak at the heads, those are spotless and tight. there is no leak where the head pipes go into the collector either.
took it apart today, seems its a just a double layer joint. a loose one. there is no clamp. just a spring keeping it seated. so i took a 3/16 strip of header wrap and stuffed it into the seat, no leak as of now, will check it out after a nice ride.

So you just stuffed it into the seat after the pipe was already fitted? Mine is doing the same thing, I was thinking of adding another a spring and hangers for it on the outside of the pipe or having a muffler shop I use do a couple cuts and weld some flared fittings for v-bands. The kit 2-1 pipe where the muffler meets leaves a lot to be desired.

no i wrapped it around the inside pipe, and when i pushed the muffler on it pushed the strip of wrap in. was thinking about the second spring myself. and figured some flair or crimp work would work better and be cheaper.
looks like this now

I don't have my instructions for the 2-1 install anymore. Can anyone tell me if the torque settings for the retaining nuts are the same as the stock headers? Thanks.

I used an exhaust cement on all pipe connections with good results. You can also use high temp. silicone.
