Thumbs up Waspwork.com

Bought this kit from WaspWork: http://www.waspworks.com/index.php?m...&products_id=5
And got it fitted together with a lighter flywheel.

What can i say The bike just want to mono all the time now

The PC 3 is pre-mapped to Perth (West Australia) surroundings. I found that it now gets up to temperature a lot faster but also get sorta 10C higher (app. 110C) Should I get it the PC adjusted again? I'm in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.
Also, can the PC 3 be adjusted to idle higher when cold to keep it from staling (because of the lighter flywheel)? It's fine when it's warm!

Hmmm... this can be a dilemma.
An owner wanting race bike performance, yet street bike reliability from a premap...?

So many variables.

Get back to the wasp fellaz and tell them their pre-mapped PC is unacceptable, (unless your racing), which your not, so there should be adequate allowance in the premap so your bike doesn't stall out when it's cold.

Your bike most definitely needs needs dyno time, tuning, and tell them you want it FOC, because anything else is unacceptable.
Especially considering how many $$$ you've already spent

If the wasp boyz are going to charge big bucks$$$ to the local boyz for their merchandise, then they need to honour it, with some good ol' fashion customer service!

Get back to them, I'm sure they'll sort you out. Otherwise there's mud heading their way...

Edit: No premap will ever suffice, it's a starting point, the rest needs to be tweaked on the dyno.

No premap will work work for all bikes, unless the set-up "exactly" the same.
So a premap is only good for a starting point, then should be dyno mapped to YOUR bike. Aloha Alex

That much more air and not enough fuel, your gonna run a tad lean = higher temps. Unfortunately, the only way to get it perfected is to drop about $250 on a dyno session and have them do each cylinder. Your likely to get noticeably higher fuel consumption.

Out!

The maps we supply with each kit are specific to the configuration of the bike and are in fact individually tune front and rear cyl maps.
I will have to check what config Per's kit was set to but will telephone tomorrow and get the low-down on exactly what is happening.
I am not sure if the lighter flywheel would make any difference but I doubt it.. Will have to check that one with my main man "TurboToddTheDynoDude".
Your previous statement is correct however - Because all engines, fuels, locations, modifications, and temps are different the best map for your bike is one that is developed with your bike on a dyno FOR YOUR BIKE..

Talk to you tomorrow Per..

Greg.

Just a quick note: I'm more then happy with the kit, I think it's really good value for the money. It's really well made. HIGHLY recommended to anyone one! Hens the title of this post. Thumps up to WaspWorks

That said;
1) Do I need to get it dyno-ed for my surroundings: Yes, I now understand. Will have to book some time.
2) Is it possible to dyno adjust it to the prevent it from stalling when cold? This is 100% because of the lighter flywheel
