I got my HYPER!
I finally got it! MY08 Hypermotard 1100S. I got it with a comfort seat and a CF rear mud guard thing. Did 270kms yesterday on it. Enjoyed it! The mirrors were are little fiddly to get right.
It did have a funny flapping / popping sound coming from the exhaust while decelerating, maybe it is a Ducati thing? This is my first Ducati. So far, loving it!
The oil did get a little warm at 118deg C in traffic. A little warm for my liking. Mind you, it is about 28-30deg C air temp at the moment.

That's a nice lookin' bike.Welcome.
The noise sounds like you may have an exhaust leak.Check around the pipe joints. The temperature isn't too scary for a warm day in traffic.Remember it's oil temp, not coolant.
Congratulations on the bike.

...correct...but really the temperature can be unconfortable for your legs...the simplest solution is to remove CAT and change the exhaust system...
...now my temp never reaches more than 105 C

The views from where you were parked were fantastic. I'm betting the riding must have been also.

Thanks for the comments! The ride was fantastic. Getting stuck in traffic on the way back wasn't so fun.
@Hyperdookie, thank you. I will have a look around for a leak.

What can be done that doesn't require a computer change / upgrade? I did have a look at a dealer here and the Termi's come with a computer but cost an arm and a leg.
Thanks again for the input, lovely to have so many hypermotard enthusiasts on here!

Congrats on the great bike. The popping can be fixed by buying an O2 manipulater from http://www.fatduc.com/.It also smoothes out the throttle and power delivery in the lower rev range.Makes the bike much more rideable around town.About $85 usd.

While this is the real solution to both of FEINT's complaints, he just got the bike and I didn't want to give him the bad news. Notice I also didn't tell him that he will find himself spending lots of time on here looking for the next mod to drain his wallet. It's a sickness.
